In our case, we have an Apple TV to which we can mirror our desktop, and since we have a second display connected to the Mini DisplayPort, there are several choices you can make here as to which displays are mirrored, or whether you want to extend you desktop. If you have an AirPlay display or device, you can mirror your desktop to it, and you can select to show mirroring options in the menu bar.
